Thr 17th Jan  Today we drove out of the snow capped mountains into the valleys and straight highways across to the bay area.  Once in San Francisco we jumped on a hotel shuttle bus to the International airport, then a train into the city, and had tea at a Shopping centre food court before having a night at the movies.  'Not many options so we settled on  The Impossible (A true story about a family visiting Thailand at the time of the 2044 Tsunami); exhausting movie but great special effects & makeup.
